For a quotation, we need preliminary information about the area to be scanned, the site location, intended use, required accuracy, schedule and desired delivery formats. Useful source material includes floor plans, area maps, photographs, existing scan data and information about any special safety requirements.
If the site has an existing coordinate system or control point network, it is worth mentioning this in the request for quotation. If you are unsure about the reliability of the coordinate system, we can assess whether it needs to be checked, updated or built as part of the project.
If all information is not yet clear, we can help define the project scope together. The buyer does not need to choose the scanning method in advance, as long as the intended use and expected outcome are described as clearly as possible.

The price of a laser scanning project is always individual, because sites and intended uses differ. The price is affected by factors such as the size of the area to be scanned, site complexity, required accuracy, selected scanning method, number of scanning stations, location, safety requirements and scope of post-processing.
Delivery formats also affect the price. A point cloud alone is a different scope of delivery than a package that includes a surface model, 3D modelling, analyses, reports, building a coordinate system or a Reality Twin environment.

A laser scanning project typically includes technical project definition, fieldwork planning, selection of the required methods, scanning, data processing and delivery of the data in the agreed format.
Before fieldwork, we review the areas to be scanned, required accuracy, access permits, safety requirements, working time and any site-specific restrictions. We also agree who will act as the customer’s contact person during the fieldwork and how possible changes will be decided.
During fieldwork, the agreed scanning or measurement is carried out. This may include traditional laser scanning, mobile laser scanning, drone imaging and photogrammetry, ground-penetrating radar, coordinate and control point surveying, or a combination of these.
After fieldwork, the raw data is processed, scans are combined, the data is connected to a coordinate system where needed and exported into the agreed delivery formats. When needed, we can also produce surface models, 3D models, sections, reports, analyses or a Reality Twin environment.
Employee travel costs are added to the price according to actual costs, unless otherwise agreed for the project. Additional services, such as wider 3D modelling, building a coordinate system, special formats, analyses or integrations, are defined separately in the quotation.

When you send a request for quotation, we review the source information you have provided and assess whether it is sufficient for preparing a quotation. If needed, we will ask for additional details about the area boundary, intended use, accuracy, safety requirements or delivery formats.
After this, we propose an implementation method suited to the project’s needs. This may be a single method or a hybrid implementation combining, for example, mobile laser scanning, tripod laser scanning, drone imaging, coordinate measurement and post-processing.
You will receive a quotation describing the project content, deliverables, schedule estimate, price and any limitations. Once the quotation is approved, we agree the fieldwork date, contact persons, permit procedures and other practical arrangements.

Laser scanning is worth considering especially before modification design, shutdowns, equipment installation, pipework design, demolition work, layout changes, safety planning or in situations where old drawings no longer match reality.
If the goal is to use the data in future projects as well, it is worth discussing the coordinate system, delivery formats and possible Reality Twin use at the same time. This allows the first project to form a basis for later documentation, design and maintenance.
