GRECO 2025 Recap: Strong Conversations on Digital Twins and Sustainable Industry

At GRECO 2025, 24–30 November 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, we had the opportunity to engage with a wide range of organisations focused on the green and digital transitions in heavy industry.

Throughout the week, one theme was clear: interest in digital twins is growing rapidly, and the conversation is increasingly shifting from development to practical adoption. Many discussions centred on what it takes to turn digital twin initiatives into everyday tools that support real operational work, decision-making and cross-team collaboration.

Represented by our Head of Sales, Nikolas Ruotsalainen, SolidComp exhibited as part of the Finland Pavilion, alongside respected Finnish organisations and companies including KONE, Konecranes, Helvar and the City of Tampere. Being in such strong company reinforced a shared message: Finnish industrial solutions are well positioned to support sustainable development through practical, technology-enabled improvements.

We are grateful to the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the Embassy of Finland for the invitation and support, and to the organisers for a well-run event. The week included many high-quality conversations, from first introductions to deeper discussions on industrial digitalisation, asset management and how reality-based digital twins can help organisations move faster with confidence.

Beyond the exhibition itself, the event delivered important insight into how the market is evolving in Vietnam and the wider region. We gained a clearer view of current priorities, common barriers to utilisation, and what decision-makers are looking for when evaluating digital twin solutions, particularly around trustworthy as-built information, integration with existing systems and field usability.

Most importantly, we met new people and made genuinely interesting connections across the business ecosystem. We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring collaboration opportunities that support sustainable growth in industrial environments.
