3D scanning
3D scanning is the process of digitally capturing the shape and features of a physical object or environment as a highly accurate three-dimensional model. The model is created using various technologies, such as laser scanning, mobile laser scanning, or photogrammetry.
3D scanning enables the creation of precise and realistic digital replicas of existing structures, equipment or landscapes. It is utilised across industries including manufacturing, architecture, heritage documentation and quality control.
