Geodesy
Geodesy is the scientific discipline that studies the Earth’s shape, gravity field, and three-dimensional spatial position in space. It includes positioning systems, satellite measurements, and land surveying, which are used in applications such as mapping, infrastructure design, and GPS technology. Geodesy is a key component in improving the accuracy of GNSS systems such as GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou.
