FLS (Faro Laser Scan file format)

FLS is a proprietary file format developed by Faro for storing raw data from individual laser scans. An FLS file contains point cloud data along with intensity values, colour information, and scan metadata such as location, orientation and timestamp.

The FLS format serves as a source file that can be merged into larger point cloud datasets in formats such as FLS or LSP project files. It is fully compatible with Faro’s software suite, including SCENE, and is commonly used in 3D documentation, modelling and spatial analysis workflows.
