Poland’s Industrial Momentum Offers Strong Opportunities for Finnish Expertise

SolidComp joined a Finnish business delegation to Poland to experience first-hand the strength, investment momentum and development-driven mindset of one of Europe’s fastest-growing industrial markets.

In January 2026, SolidComp took part in a Finnish business delegation visit to Poland as part of the Savon Yrittäjät International Call internationalisation service and a Team Finland export promotion trip.

The visit took place from 23–26 January and brought together more than 20 participants from Finnish companies, organisations and public stakeholders.

SolidComp was represented by Head of Sales Nikolas Ruotsalainen, who joined the delegation in Warsaw for an intensive three-day programme focused on concrete business development. The visit included customer meetings, seminars, company visits and extensive networking with Polish industrial players and local stakeholders.

A Rapidly Developing Industrial Market

Poland’s industrial sector is both large and fast-growing, with strong investment activity and a clear appetite for development. Throughout the visit, it became evident that quality, long-term partnerships and technological advancement are highly valued. Polish companies are actively investing in their operations and are open to collaboration that supports digitalisation and operational efficiency.

“Poland is a major industrial country, and things are moving fast,” says Nikolas Ruotsalainen. “There is a positive mindset, strong investment activity and a clear willingness to cooperate with companies that bring high-quality solutions. This creates a very favourable environment for Finnish expertise.”

Concrete Discussions and New Connections

At a visit to YIT’s Polish operations the delegation got to hear that Nordic know-how is well regarded in Poland, particularly when it comes to systematic ways of working, safety, quality and industrial digitalisation.

During discussions at YIT’s local office, it was highlighted that Finnish working practices are respected in Poland and in their office, they were seen as a benchmark worth learning from. This openness to adopting Nordic approaches strengthens the case for deeper collaboration between Finnish solution providers and Polish industry.

The visiting programme maintained a clear focus on business. Meetings concentrated on real needs, opportunities and potential cooperation. This practical orientation was widely appreciated by the participants.

“Thanks to the organisers, we were able to focus and use the business hours truly to conduct business,” Ruotsalainen notes. “That made it possible to identify real openings and build connections that have genuine potential.”

Team Finland Support on the Ground

The Team Finland hosted the visit, with local coordination support by Ms. Päivi Laine, Finnish Ambassador to Poland, and Mr. Antti R., Commercial Counsellor, together with key personnel from the Finnish Embassy. Their support ensured smooth arrangements, strong local engagement and access to relevant decision-makers.

SolidComp would like to extend sincere thanks to everyone involved for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality throughout the visit. We would also like to express our appreciation to Ambassador Päivi Laine for hosting an evening reception at the Finnish Residence, providing an excellent setting for meaningful discussions and networking in a welcoming atmosphere.

Connections Gained, Opportunities Seized

The Polish market offers significant opportunities for Finnish companies that support industrial development, digital transformation and operational excellence. For SolidComp, the visit strengthened confidence in Poland as a market with strong potential for growth and long-term cooperation.

“We see clear opportunities to support Polish industry on its digitalisation journey,” Ruotsalainen concludes. “The discussions confirmed that our expertise is relevant, and that there is room for meaningful collaboration.”

SolidComp looks forward to building on the insights and connections gained during the visit, further strengthening its international presence and partnerships.
