New executive board to boost SolidComp’s growth

The new chairman of the board is Dr. Jorma Turunen, a Doctor of Technology, professor of practice, and professional board member. Turunen has extensive experience in the operational management of companies and organizations, as well as in board memberships and chair positions in growth companies.

Joining the board as a member is Master of Laws and eMBA Sonja London, who serves as Chief Legal Officer at TactoTek Oy. London has a long background in technology commercialization as well as in patent and licensing strategies. She is also an investor, advisor, and board member in software growth companies. She has been recognized by IAM Strategy 300 as one of the world’s leading IPR strategists.

Another new board member is Tarmo Tuominen, M.Sc., who has a long history of leadership positions and board memberships in the mining industry. His in-depth industry knowledge and understanding of its specific needs will bring clear added value to SolidComp’s industrial customer interface.

The current chairman of the board and one of the company’s founders, M.Sc. (Eng.) Tuomas Korhonen, will become vice chairman. Other founders — CEO Sándor Nagy and mechanical engineering engineer Juha Timonen — will continue on the board.
