Spatial Data

Spatial data refers to information that describes the location, shape and relationships of objects in physical space. It is typically associated with geographic coordinates or other spatial reference systems.

Spatial data can include elements such as maps, point clouds, 3D models, satellite imagery and asset locations. In industrial environments, spatial data helps represent facilities, infrastructure and equipment within digital systems.

By combining spatial data with operational or asset information, organisations can better visualise, analyse and manage complex environments. Spatial data forms the foundation of many digital twin, GIS and mapping applications.
