Version Control
Version control is the practice of tracking and managing changes made to data, models, documents or source code over time. It allows users to see what has changed, when it changed and who made the change, while also enabling earlier versions to be reviewed or restored if needed.
In industrial and technical environments, version control helps maintain data integrity, traceability and consistency. It is especially important when multiple users work on shared models, documents or software configurations across long project lifecycles.
