Soft Model
A soft model refers to a preliminary model created in the early stages of 3D design, representing the spatial allocation, general form, and primary dimensions of the intended object without precise technical detail. Soft models are commonly used in spatial planning and preliminary layout work to visualise the placement of components, equipment or structures in relation to each other and their surroundings.Soft models allow for the assessment of space usage, the identification of potential clashes, and serve as a foundation for more detailed design phases. They are often used as input for later stages where specifications are refined.
