Coordinate
A coordinate is a numerical value or set of values that defines the location of a point within a coordinate system. Coordinates express the point’s distance and direction relative to an origin or other reference points. The most common coordinate systems are two-dimensional (x, y) or three-dimensional (x, y, z), although other dimensions may be used when necessary.
Coordinates are widely used in fields such as cartography, geodesy, computing, and physics to enable precise spatial positioning and analysis. For instance, GPS systems use geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) to determine exact positions on the Earth’s surface.
