The EcoCompass certificate is a Finnish environmental management system based on the principles of ISO 14001 and tailored to small and medium-sized organisations. It is administered by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation and awarded after independent auditing. The certificate confirms that SolidComp has identified its key environmental impacts, set measurable improvement targets, and embedded sustainability into its daily work.
CEO Sandor Nagy commented on the achievement: “We are pleased that our environmental work to date has now been formally recognised. At the same time, the certification provides us with a practical, scalable framework to track and strengthen our sustainability work as the company continues to grow.”
SolidComp’s environmental programme focuses on three key areas: improving environmental awareness among subcontractors, optimising transport and driving practices during scanning projects, and increasing transparency and communication around environmental actions.
The company’s digital solutions already have a strong positive environmental impact. Services such as Reality Twin -digital twin environment and efficient 3D laser scanning help customers reduce waste, emissions and unnecessary travel. By enabling remote access, virtual planning and more efficient project communication, SolidComp supports customers in lowering their carbon footprint and extending asset life cycles.
