The first product from the partnership is Seppo’s SolidSafe, a new safety learning environment where training takes place inside a realistic, customer-specific 3D space. Learners can move through and interact with a virtual version of their own production facility or site, practising critical safety actions in a setting that connects to real life, but without physical risk or production disruptions.
From reading instructions to interaction in your real environment
Traditional safety training often relies on presentations, manuals, or classroom sessions that can feel disconnected from everyday work. SolidSafe shifts safety learning from passive instruction to active decision-making.
Because training happens in a virtual copy of the learner’s actual workspace, the experience becomes immediately relevant: participants recognise the routes, areas, equipment and risk points from their day-to-day environment. This increases engagement and makes it easier to transfer learning into real behaviour.
Authenticity that raises gamification to a new level
“Gamified learning is most powerful when it feels real,” says Riku Alkio, Founder and Chief Future Learning Officer at Seppo. “By building SolidSafe inside the customer’s own Reality Twin environment, we can take safety training from generic examples to authentic, site-specific situations. It keeps learners motivated, mirrors their real workplace, and helps organisations see specific learning impacts through clear analytics. This collaboration genuinely raises the bar for what gamified safety learning can be.”
Digital twins unlock new industrial use cases
Sandor Nagy, CEO of SolidComp, highlights how the collaboration extends the value of industrial 3D data. “As digital twin technologies evolve, we’re seeing more practical ways to use customers’ 3D reality data beyond traditional project design and documentation. We’re delighted to partner with Seppo’s gamified learning specialists to create something that directly improves safety, communication and efficiency. SolidSafe is a great example of how digital twins can enable completely new, high-impact training solutions for industrial and other physical environments.”
Seppo is currently looking for a pilot partner to take part in the SolidSafe Proof of Concept phase. The pilot will help shape the implementation of best practices and demonstrate how authentic 3D environments can strengthen safety training outcomes in real industrial settings.
Solid Safe is designed to answer for a wide range of industrial safety needs, including onboarding and safety induction for new employees, recurring safety training, visitor pre-briefings and access training, risk management, scenario-based simulations, virtual site familiarisation and guided tours.
SolidSafe environment requires that the training area is available as a Reality Twin model. This is created either through laser scanning the site or using client’s existing scan data.
