Area model
An area model is a digital three-dimensional representation of a large geographical area, including topography, structures, infrastructure, and other physical features.
Area models are used in urban planning, environmental analysis, infrastructure development and the gaming industry to provide a realistic and detailed visualisation of a given area.
Area modeling or site modelling involves integrating various data sources, such as photogrammetrically processed aerial images, satellite imagery, laser scanning data and map information, into a coherent model.
